FAQs

Do I need a GP referral before I attend the clinic?

A GP referral is always beneficial but not necessary. However, please note that many insurance companies will not cover your treatment unless you have been to see your GP. This can be checked on your individual policy.

Does the hospital have MRSA?

No. The hospital has a strict infection control policy for MRSA and patients are screened and tested if at risk.

How will I pay for treatment?

The consultation will be £150 and this includes an assessment with the consultant and physiotherapist. The consultation will need to be paid at the time of the appointment and can be paid by cash, credit or debit card.

If radiology or additional physiotherapy is undertaken then an invoice will be sent to you after the appointment.

How long does a consultation last?

To ensure we get as much information as we need about your condition a full first assessment with a consultant and physiotherapist will last approximately 45 minutes.

How quickly could I get an appointment?

As we want to help you rehabilitate your injury as quickly as possible we aim to see patients within 48 hours and have regular clinics available.

Will I be covered by my insurance?

We have contracts with all the major insurance companies, however you will need to check your individual policy to see exactly what your personal cover includes. If you do have medical insurance please bring these details with you to the initial consultation. You will also need to contact your insurance company at each stage of treatment to get authorisation of cover.
